Job Overview:
As a Trailer Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of 53' Dry Van and Temperature Controlled trailers at our Tinley Park location. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks on trailer components, including brakes, lights, wheel seals, and suspension systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough DOT inspections of trailers
- Pursue minor electrical repairs as necessary
- Perform minor bodywork to ensure trailers remain in excellent condition
- Inspect and replace tires to guarantee optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements:
- Holding a valid state driver's license is essential
- A willingness to learn Reefer maintenance and repair procedures is required
- You must be able to consistently lift items weighing over 50 pounds
- A smartphone (iPhone or Android) is mandatory for the position
- Prior welding experience is preferred but not necessary
