What You’ll Do
As our Accounting Manager, you’ll take ownership of full-cycle accounting and day-to-day financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing all accounting functions – Oversee billing, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), treasury, and general ledger (GL) functions.
- Preparing monthly financial statements – Ensure timely, accurate reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
- Maintaining financial integrity – Uphold high standards for financial transactions, reporting, and internal controls.
- Overseeing treasury and cash management – Monitor cash flow and optimize treasury functions.
- Managing risk and compliance – Handle commercial insurance and assess company risk exposure.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting – Provide financial insights to drive strategic planning.
- Leading strategic financial meetings – Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with business growth.
- Overseeing general ledger management – Ensure accuracy of entries and account reconciliations.
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations – Manage reconciliations to ensure smooth processing.
- Tracking and reporting expenses – Maintain accurate records for operational efficiency.
- Managing month-end and year-end close – Adjust journal entries for payroll, accruals, benefit/wage adjustments, and other closing tasks in compliance with GAAP.
- Administering benefits deductions – Oversee new hire enrollments and open enrollment periods.
- Supporting the COO with financial projects – Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) and/or 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager. Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting required.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with NetSuite, SharePoint, Paycom, or ADP is a plus.
- Work Ethic – Ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines without supervision.
- Soft Skills – Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Collaboration – Works well across departments, maintaining strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
