Duties - Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement. - Negotiate pricing and contracts with carriers to secure competitive rates. - Utilize software tools to manage shipments, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records. - Coordinate logistics operations including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring shipments. - Handle account management tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. - Collaborate with team members to optimize logistics processes and improve service delivery. - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight brokerage. Skills - Book of Business or 2 years of freight broker experience required - Proficiency in using logistics software systems. - Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on pricing strategies. - Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong analytical skills for problem-solving within the logistics framework. - Effective communication skills for building relationships with clients and partners.
