One Man Delivery Driver
We are looking for a dedicated, independent, and motivated individual to join our team as a One-Man Delivery Driver. In this role, you will handle end-to-end deliveries, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will manage your own schedule, oversee logistics, and provide excellent customer service at every stop.
Job Details:
- Needed: 26’ Box Truck with Liftgate
- Compensation: $150.00-$175.00 per day. Will vary based on the scope of work.
- Mileage: 75 - 150 miles per day
- Delivery Type: Appliances and yard equipment strapped to a wood pallet
- Delivery Method: Curbside delivery to customers’ homes (pallet jack experience required)
- Daily Stop Count: 10-16 curbside home deliveries
- Shift Start Time: 5:00 AM daily (On-time attendance is mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Management: Plan and execute daily deliveries efficiently.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude.
- Route Optimization: Use the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Inventory Handling: Load, secure, and unload goods safely, ensuring no damage.
- Documentation: Accurately complete logs, sign-offs, and delivery documentation.
- Problem-Solving: Handle unexpected issues such as delays, rerouting, or damaged items.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all local traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle in good working condition and report any issues.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior experience in delivery, logistics, or a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating a 26ft box truck.
- Comfortable handling physical tasks like lifting and unloading.
- Proven experience using a pallet jack.
- Strong time management and ability to work independently.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and last-minute deliveries.
- Professionalism is key – drivers must provide exceptional customer service and arrive on time every morning for load-out at 5 AM.
- No tolerance policy for lateness or no-shows – penalties or termination will apply.
