What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Assembly and Upfitter position at Freightliner of Hartford?
We are looking for an individual who can weld and fabricate, you need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field. Equipment Specialist builds and assembles dump trucks on a chassis that is supplied from the various heavy truck OEMs. You will need to have an understanding of the following items:
- Weld steel with mig welder
- Operate plasma cutter and oxy/acetylene torch
- Drill holes
- Accurately read tape measure
- Fabricate and Install 12 volt wiring harnesses,
- Assemble hydraulic hoses and hydraulic systems
- Install PTO assemblies
- Read and understand English
- Read and understand wiring diagrams
- Ability to operate a fork lift
- Ability to work independently and with a team when required
This position is Day Shift, Monday through Friday. Pay is based on experience, but ranges from $20 to $40 per hour, plus a monthly bonus program.
