Your Role:
You will be responsible for managing ocean import or export shipments, ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations, and delivering top-tier customer service as an Ocean Import or Export Coordinator.
• Manage end-to-end ocean import or export shipments to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction of clients.
• Pre-alert agents and shippers, organize and prepare required documentation in compliance with all international shipping regulations.
• Track and coordinate cargo from origin to final destination, arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and container loading to meet client expectations.
• Handle billing, payables, and shipment documentation processing while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining strong communication with clients through regular updates and proactive issue resolution.
Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding operations, preferably with knowledge of ocean import or export logistics.
• Strong customer service-oriented mindset with excellent follow-up skills to build long-term relationships with clients.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Problem-solving & decision-making skills to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced industry.
• Experience with CargoWise or similar freight software (preferred) and must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
