Job Description
The Fremont County School is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Substitute Custodian. This role is responsible for maintaining attractive, sanitary, and safe facilities for students, staff, and public.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, corridors, furniture, carpets, windows, walls, bleachers, stage, locker rooms, sidewalks, play areas, grounds, etc.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Report needed supplies, inspect and report water leaks, potential repairs, unsafe conditions, electrical or mechanical failures, hazards or concerns to the Head Building Custodian or designee immediately
- Prepare facilities and equipment needed for special events in the building
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of supplies, trash, rubbish, and waste
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in general cleaning
Physical Demands
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms
- The employee will experience significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
- The employee will frequently be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
