Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for Psychiatrists to work in a clinical setting in Chatsworth, CA. The Psychiatrist will provide extensive psychiatric services or work in a review, evaluation, or consultative capacity.
Psychiatrists are responsible for any and all duties within their specialty, as authorized by the site's administration. All psychiatry services will be provided in accordance with the scope of the physician's licensure and specific terms and conditions.
This position is for Independent Contractors (1099's).
Pay Rate : 220 / hr
Work Location : Chatsworth, CA (hybrid - 2-3 days in office)
Responsibilities :
- Psychiatric assessment and treatment; Psychiatric assessments will be scheduled at 90-minute intervals and follow-up appointments will be scheduled at 30-minute intervals. Same-day walk-in clinic appointments will be accommodated, as needed.
- Prescribe and manage medication, order laboratory tests, and evaluate test results via utilization of the electronic health record.
- Consult with clinical staff and other service providers regarding patient care and referral for follow-up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning.
- Document services provided as required by the site, including use of an electronic health record.
- Document findings in the site's electronic health record Integrated Behavioral Healthcare Integrated System (IBHIS) concurrently and claim accordingly.
- Refer clients to primary care and community service providers, as needed.
- Authorize involuntary detention and transfer to hospitals as required.
- Perform urgent and emergent assessment, including risk assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
- Authorize and / or deny services as appropriate in the performance of utilization review.
- Additional Specialized Psychiatrist Services : If applicable, a psychiatrist who is trained and has the requisite experience to treat clients with certain disorders will be made available to the site.
- Urgent psychiatric consults for mobile crisis outreach teams, including whether a client meets criteria for medical necessity and for an involuntary hold.
- Psychiatrist will confer with crisis mobile response team to develop a plan of care for client.
Persons to be Served : Psychiatry services will be provided to diverse client populations of all ages served by the site directly operated and contracted sites. This may include a consultation with mobile crisis outreach teams.
