Overview
The Admissions Director plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our long-term care and short-term rehabilitation facility through leading the admissions processes by developing strategies to increase census. The Admissions Director will collaborate with various departments to enhance the process, ensuring that all prospective referrals receive exceptional communication and timely responses throughout their journey.
Duties
- Develop and implement strategies to increase census and achieve goals.
- Oversee the admissions process, including referral review, case manager communication, decision-making, Insurance verification, PASRR screening, and admission contracts including consents.
- Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, specialty care centers to develop alignment of admissions criteria with facility goals.
- Ongoing communication with Marketing team to ensure on-site patient visits, family communication, and tours are being conducted.
- Analyze enrollment trends and data to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Build relationships with community organizations to enhance outreach opportunities.
- Track referrals, admissions, and denials through CRM.
Experience
- Proven experience in long term care is necessary in being successful in this role.
- Strong speaking skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences effectively.
- Experience working directly with patients in a clinical capacity is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance, patient care, and best practices is essential.
- Proficiency in using CRM tracking platforms and PCC is advantageous.
