Job description -
Fremont Therapy & Wellness is a growing PT/OT clinic now in a new larger location. We are looking for an additional front desk receptionist who is a positive, outgoing, compassionate team member to help impact our clinic and give our patients an amazing customer service experience. This individual must have a passion for teamwork and a vision of success. This position works side by side with our current front desk receptionist most of the day. This position is 8:30-5:30 M-F (Friday ends at 5:15)
Patient Care Coordination Duties –
- Answers phones, takes and relays messages in a professional and timely manner.
- Accurately inputs all patient demographics for new patients
- Schedules patients for services to assure they complete plan of care visits. Calls and reminds patients of appointment times as necessary to assure appointments are kept. Assures missed appointments are rescheduled.
- Communicates with patients clearly explaining the clinic's practices for insurance, co-payments, cost of care and scheduling appointments.
- Calls insurance companies before each patient's first visit to verify their insurance coverage. Communicates insurance benefits and collects payments as indicated.
- Meets with patients on their first visit to assure all necessary paperwork is completed before treatment begins and accurately inputs all patient data.
- Accurately collects and inputs patient payments
- Assists with monthly billing and patient statements.
- Performs other office support work for staff as needed.
- Assures compliance with Federal / Medicare guidelines and company compliance policies assists with paperwork for obtaining authorizations,
- Tracks daily and weekly stats for clinicians
- Contacts patients who have missed appointments
- Calls physicians offices for medical records as needed
- Completes all front desk closing duties to ensure smooth transition to next day.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strengths needed: Responsible, Organized, Ability to Multi-Task, Very Detail Oriented, Very Personable, Excellent Customer Service Skills, Service Oriented Personality, Compassionate, Persuasive, Basic Financial Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or college level business courses preferred.
- Prefer experience in a medical office, customer service, or other related business where strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills were required.
- Excellent customer service phone skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills including: Word, Excel
- Sit/Stand desks with Standing over 50% of the day
- Physically able to assist patients as needed in and out of clinic & regularly lift over 25#
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
