Candidates should be compelling educational practitioners who have a strong English Literature background and are confident in their capacity to create and deliver a dynamic and engaging curriculum and find joy working with young adolescents.FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare engaging and differentiated lesson plans according to our upper school curriculumTeach in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum – we will provide professional development opportunities for teachers to learn how to teach in an IB setting if they do not yet have experience in IB.Develop, enhance and document curriculum, while ensuring continued coordination and collaboration with colleagues from the science departmentRegularly assess the students’ progressParticipate fully in the professional community and contribute to school lifeServe as an advisorAs needed, participate in outdoor ed and global travel trips and engage in ongoing professional developmentQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 2 years teaching experienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field, Master’s degree preferredExcellent communication skills with both students and parentsPositive history of collegiality and collaboration with other teachers and administratorsKnowledge of French not requiredSalary range for this position $66,404 - $110,975 depending on experience and qualifications.HOW TO APPLY
