Job purpose
The Distribution Manager oversees daily fulfillment and warehouse operations. They responsible for accurately monitoring inventory and manage the flow of goods from receiving to production through fulfillment for all revenue channels. .
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations/Inventory Management
- Manage receiving of goods, ensures accuracy, and records in inventory
- Space planning and organization of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
- Develop inventory counting best practices to ensure that our reports and on hand inventory are in sync - “how many do we have?” and “where is it?” are two questions you always know the answer to about our inventory.
- Label cases, pallets, and racks according to aisle and bin locations.
- Manage perishable and frozen inventory; Monitor best-by date to ensure that food items with expiration dates are being sold at an appropriate pace
- Manage expected deliveries, product launches, and holiday sales pushes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Fulfillment Management
- Manages accurate fulfillment of online orders, wholesale orders, and inventory deliveries to our retail locations.
- Manage internal transfers of ingredients, supplies, and finished goods
- Manages Couriers and ensures timely delivery of goods and orders
- Evaluate and implement opportunities for efficiency and automation in collaboration with the Director of Facilities and Chief of Innovation
Qualifications
- 3 years related experience in fulfillment/warehousing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Direct and respectful communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others
- Technology Skills: Expertise with spreadsheets, including Excel and Google Suite. Ability to learn new platforms like Shopify, Quickbooks, and Square; and to research new tech solutions.

Working conditions
- This job operates in a warehouse and food production facility, where food and occupational safety is of the utmost importance. Noise, dust, machinery and varying climatic conditions may be present in this environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- The employee must lift or move up to 50 pounds.
