Looking to join a sweet team? French Broad Chocolate is looking to add Front of House team members to our Factory location. The Factory Front of House team serves our awesome chocolate, as well as educates our guests on the history of chocolate, and our bean to bar process.
The Factory Service team members are responsible for providing fast, friendly and helpful service to our guests. They share their passion for food, their product knowledge and FBC company values to guide in guests' food and beverage selections. They maintain a clean, comfortable, and connected dining ambiance; and provide an overall outstanding experience for all guests. Factory FOH team also gives guest tours of the Chocolate Factory.

Job purpose
Factory Service team members are responsible for providing fast, friendly and helpful service to our guests. They maintain a clean, comfortable, and connected ambiance; and provide an overall outstanding experience for all guests. Factory FOH team also gives guest tours of the Chocolate Factory.
Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes guests
- Educates, answers questions, and provides recommendations
- Create coffee and chocolate beverages according to company recipes and guideline
- Processes payments, returns and exchanges
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking products
- Maintain merchandise and displays; keep product organized and neat
- Provides an excellent guest experience
- Responsible for knowing and upholding quality standards for all products
- Acts as a brand ambassador
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant/barista experience preferred (1 year service experience preferred)
- Ability to perform basic math (addition and subtraction)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to maintain positivity and composure during all types of situations
- Hardworking, able to multi-task
- Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner
- Comfortable with Public Speaking
- Alignment with FBC mission, vision, and values
Working conditions:
- Will require evenings, weekends, and holidays and overtime as necessary
- Mixture of indoor and outdoor work in varying climatic conditions
- May be subject to high noise levels
- Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest periods
Physical requirements:
- Standing for extended periods
- Reaches, bends, and stoops frequently
- Solo lift 50 lb. regularly
- Team lift 70 lb. occasionally with aid of cart or dolly
