Job Purpose
The Packaging Supervisor works with the Packaging Manager to oversee daily packaging operations. The Packaging Supervisor prioritizes daily team goals, upholds quality controls, and ensures efficient workflow. Ensures appropriate inventory levels of hard goods to fulfill Retail, Web, and Wholesale orders.
Responsibilities
- With guidance from the Packaging Manager, oversees daily packaging workflow based on priority
- Oversees packaging tasks; ensures tasks are completed correctly and efficiently
- Ensures all products and finished goods meet FBC quality standards
- Responsible for maintaining, organizing, and FIFO of hard goods inventory
- Works with the Packaging Manager to ensure appropriate packaging supplies are on hand
- Maintains and improves packaging practices
- Helps create and maintain packaging SOP’s
- Acts as lead trainer for packaging duties
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in one of the following areas preferred:
- Production
- Shipping/Receiving
- Manufacturing
- Food/Beverage
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to easily transition from one task to another
- Ability to stay on task and use time efficiently
- Open-minded; thrives in an environment of change
- Alignment with FBC mission, vision, and values
Working conditions
- Evenings and weekends as necessary
- Primarily indoor work, but with varying climatic conditions
- GMP Facility requiring adherence to Food Safety protocols and procedures
Physical requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Solo lift 50 lb. regularly
- Team lift 70 lb. occasionally
- Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest periods
