Reporting To: VP of Sales
Job Summary
The Account Executive will showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills. Act proactively to address clients’ needs and facilitate the sale process from beginning to the end. Ultimate objectives are to contribute to an increase in sales and maintain company-client relationships at a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Account Executive will be responsible for all full and off-price accounts, for the Men’s division
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage key accounts and identify new potential customers, develop relationships with accounts to facilitate strong partnerships, traveling to trade shows and road appointments, following through on the sale to an account, monitoring shipping for their territories, and growing the business in general
- Market responsibilities include, but are not limited to: learning to sell the line, have strong understanding of account’s historical performance to guide future buys, discuss brand performance, write balanced orders while working with buyers, analyze orders before shipping to ensure that all new additions are taken advantage of, and maintaining showroom presentation
- Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience
- Create sales strategies to ensure continued development of their territory throughout the selling season
- Execute merchandising strategies learned at line review
- Stay current with new design, trend and product launches in order to best present the line.
- Trouble shoot problems and resolve complaints in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years Wholesale experience, along with general knowledge of the men’s contemporary retail landscape
- Established relationships with buyers at key retailers
- An ability to grasp clients’ needs and to increase customer engagement
- Must be sales driven and have ambition to essentially run own business
- Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation, analytical and time-management skills
- Solid knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Demonstrate high energy level and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or relevant field
