BASIC FUNCTION
The Environmental Services Attendant ensures standards of cleanliness in assigned areas are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must have high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma (HSED)
- Must be at least 21 years of age upon employment
- Must be able to obtain and retain valid gaming license if applicable
- Must be able to work on feet for an extended period of time
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains the cleanliness of assigned guest areas by high dusting of walls, vacuuming, refilling, cleaning and stamping of sand urns. Cleans and polishes guest and service elevator door tracks. Marks removal of hallway wallpaper. Dusts and washes hallway lights. Washes hallway windows. Cleans vending machine rooms.
- Assists room attendants with heavy lifting and trash removal
- Ensures linen closets are stocked with all guestroom supplies and collateral
- Maintains proper allotment of linens in linen closet
- Responsible for removing trash and soiled linens from room attendants' carts throughout the day
- Responsible for cleanliness of linen closets in assigned areas, including sweeping and mopping
- Cleans emergency stairways, including sweeping and mopping and cleaning of light fixtures
- Cares for equipment and machines
- Maintains constant awareness of safety hazards (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) and reports them to management. Follows all training procedures set forth in the “Bloodborne Pathogens Program.”
- Practices safety standards at all times
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to guests and coworkers at all times
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by management
