Job description
- Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers and employees, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all customers and employees.
- Maintains secure key controls and ensures that machines are in a secure and locked state.
- Conducts daily inspections of machines and equipment.
- Must be able to install, repair and maintain the casino's Player Tracking System.
- Repairs problems on the spot, or removes and replaces suspect/bad components for later repair in the shop.
- Conducts preventative maintenance (PM’s) on the slot machines by cleaning them to prevent parts from going bad.
- Maintains all necessary and required logs and inventory sheets. Performs other duties, including special projects, machine moves and machine conversions, as needed or directed by management.
- Maintains an alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times.
- Takes appropriate action based on observations, as directed or established by casino policy, procedures or gaming rules and regulations and informs supervisor of any concerns.
- Shall cooperate with any member of the Indiana Gaming Commission to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the casino.
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by management.
Requirements
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
