About This Opportunity
FPA is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer - Electrical for our Wall, NJ office with 4 to 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, specializing in the design and execution of electrical systems for a variety of facilities, including industrial, healthcare, commercial, office, and educational spaces. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to manage and lead electrical design projects from conception through to completion. As a Project Engineer, you will work with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.

Core Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage electrical system design for a range of projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm systems, and control systems across industrial, healthcare, commercial, office, and educational facilities.
- Develop detailed electrical design documents, including calculations, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and design teams, ensuring designs are aligned with project goals and requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
- Ability to engage with clients in a professional and effective manner
- Review and analyze complex electrical systems, troubleshooting issues and offering innovative solutions to ensure efficient and effective designs.
- Ensure that all designs adhere to applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations, including building, energy, and construction codes.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field evaluations to monitor project progress, address on-site challenges, and ensure proper implementation of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure that electrical design specifications are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, and relevant standards to support continuous improvement in electrical engineering practices.
