Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR)

Job Summary: Assists the DOR with daily/weekly management duties including but not limited to staffing, therapy delivery patterns, training, and participating in meetings. Provides clinical treatment.
Job Duties:
- Achieves and/or exceeds Center objectives.
- Reports all instances of abuse, neglect, or other concerns to appropriate parties.
- Identifies employee developmental needs and provides and implements development plans. Ensures all mandatory training is completed on time.
- Effectively manages turnover in the facility.
- Conducts, attends, and participates in orientation, training, in-service education, and staff meetings.
- Enforces the center's safety and health programs. Addresses all physical hazards.
- Screens, evaluates, and develops programs for implementation for all patients as needed. Implements treatment plans and goals to meet each patient's needs.
- Collaborates and communicates with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress.
- Prioritizes treatment responsibilities to ensure effective clinical operations.
- Achieves center and specific MFNC productivity benchmarks as established by supervisor.
- Completes documentation/billing in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensures MD orders are obtained according to MFNC policy and procedures.
- Exhibits professional standards and positive customer-oriented approach towards patients, family members, and staff. Displays positive rapport with patients, families, and center staff.
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
- Complies with MFNC policies and procedures and corporate compliance program. Complies with discipline-specific code of ethics and State Practice Act.
- Participates in daily PPS review meetings, patient care conferences, admissions review process, rehab conferences, and risk/QA meetings as appropriate. Assists other center team members through discussion of the details of effective PPS planning.
- Assists with implementing a rehab record keeping system that provides an accurate record of the number of treatments given (including minutes, CPT codes, and charges); and provides information that can be used to determine the cost effectiveness of staffing.
- Assists with collecting, collating, and distributing outcome data. May help develop action plans based on results.
- Uses available updated information to correctly identify RUGs/MDS score in individual patients with other appropriate staff.
- Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the center.
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two-year college degree. **Four-year college degree in PT, OT, or ST strongly preferred.
- Licensure: Licensure as a therapist or therapist assistant in the state where the center is located, as outlined in the discipline specific job descriptions.
