Material Handler
Rate: $20 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shift (11 pm to 7 am)
Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour
Basic Functions
Responsible for moving raw material, work in progress and finished goods material between work areas, docks or to the assigned areas inside and outside of the production facility, warehouse, and trailers. Responsible for assisting in the coordination of moving material with the production departments being supported and activities assigned with an emphasis on safety and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform all duties of material handler supporting production, warehousing, shipping, and receiving.
- Operate a computer and handheld scanning devices.
- Perform cycle counts, conduct physical audit of material and equipment.
- Safely operate forklift (Standing and Seated).
- Follows Policy and procedures.
- Follow Standard Work when executing tasks.
- Assisting in handling problems within the department.
- Assure all safety standards are followed.
- Locate, scan, issue and return materials.
- Communicate with production personnel during shift to ensure material, equipment, schedule requirements are understood.
- Maintain clean, safe, organize working environment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Inventory, stock and resupply material and supplies (ie. Packing supplies, pallets)
- Remove scrap wood and recycling material from production areas.
- Break down material from packaging
- Receive/barcode material.
- Load and unload scrap wood and recycling material into trailers or designated area
- Other duties as required.

Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
