What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Lab Technician - 2nd Shift position at Fres-co System USA, Inc?
Job Summary:
The person in this position is responsible for monitoring and reporting the quality of product being produced. This individual will provide quality leadership and input to the operator.
Responsibilities:
- Test samples from each press/laminator and perform required testing
- Test samples of raw materials and perform required testing
- Test samples from each slitting machine and perform required testing
- Follow the proper procedure for non-conforming material
- Communicate defects and test results to the operators
- Enter all data into the Shopfloor database
- Manage lab retains and rotation of retains
- Assist in special testing as required
- Assist in training of new personnel
- Support and ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are in place throughout the facility
- Ensure timely completion of monthly GMP inspections
- Cover quality department time off requests
- Trouble shoot lab equipment
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Quality Department or Laboratory environment experience preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good team player
- Strong analytical skills
- Desire to learn and continuously improve
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook and Fres-co’s Shop Floor software
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to walk throughout the plant.
- Visual acuity, hearing, speaking:
- Able to effectively communicate with Production personnel, Supervisors, and Managers through verbal communication.
- Must be able to hear and see alarms.
- Environment and scheduling:
- Normal working hours 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
- May be required to work weekends
- Work overtime as needed
- Plant and lab working environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
