Starting Rate: $16 to $20 (depending on experience)
Shift Differential: $1/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3 pm to 11 pm
Primary Function
Responsible for operation of slitting machinery and performing periodic inspections.
Responsibilities
- Periodic inspection of material, cutting out bad material.
- Set up for machine operations
- Hang master rolls.
- Pull samples for Q.C. Inspection
- Unload finished slit rolls
- Put finished rolls on pallets
- Rewinding and rework
- Report all safety related problems, accidents and emergency maintenance to immediate supervisor
- Troubleshoot problems
- Observes plant safety rules
- Maintain and keep equipment and/or work area in an orderly manner.
- Maintain accurate quality, production and waste records.
- Support Lean Manufacturing
- Generate through shop floor control & attach to finished rolls.
- Work with other operators on TPM Issues
- Generate maintenance work orders as needed.
- Support GMP/AIB Practices
- Supports Recycling program
- Perform other related work as required
General Qualifications:
- Ability to operate slitting machinery
- Use of hand tools, such as wrenches, hex head wrenches, tape measures, etc.
- Ability to read Metric Measurements
- Repetitive standing, walking, bending and stooping
- Periodic climbing
- Lifting requirements of over 50lbs.
- Accuracy in tasks
- Able to receive and give directions to teammates
- Good team skills
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform on a computer.
- Able to identify Print/Lam defects
