Fresca Mexican Foods is a premier manufacturer of heat-pressed, hand-stretched flour and corn tortillas. Our SQF-certified world-class facility is located in Caldwell, Idaho. For nearly 40 years, Fresca has been manufacturing and supplying our customers with the highest quality products using the finest ingredients and time-tested formulations, manufacturing processes, and freezing techniques. Today, Fresca produces about 3 million tortillas per day, employs over 150 full-time employees, and serves customers worldwide.
Work shifts: Day Shift 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Night Shift 5:30 PM-5:30 AM typically 2 days on, 2 days off.
- There is voluntary overtime!
- Pay periods are Sunday through Saturday.
Position Summary: Production Line Operator
The Production line operator is responsible for running a production line safely and efficiently. The production operator will be fully trained to be able to run a full line, from dough mixing to tortilla packaging, and will be responsible for the overall performance of the line. This position plays an important role in our operations and has a direct impact on our company’s metrics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing plant as an operator
- Previous experience working in a bakery or tortilla manufacturing facility
- Mechanical inclination
- Experience with Good Manufacturing (GMP) and/or Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices
Physical Demands:
- Light to moderate physical effort is required
- Must be able to lift 30lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and move around machinery for long periods of time
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms
- Must be able to work in varying working climates, i.e., temperatures may vary from very hot to very cold
