This role will also have dotted-line responsibility for an offshore team as well and primarily focusing on enforcing standards and assigning resources effectively across projects. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on technical background and will often serve as a billable resource, providing direct technical leadership and expertise in Java. This position is fully remote, and we prefer candidates based in North America (Canada or USA). Your day-to-day responsibilities :  Manage and mentor a team of 15 onshore web developers, with hire / fire responsibility. Oversee offshore teams through collaboration with offshore leads and a resource manager. Ensure the development team adheres to coding standards, best practices, and project deadlines. Assign development resources effectively across projects. Act as a technical lead and / or architect on development projects, with hands-on coding as needed. Serve as a billable resource, contributing technical expertise in Java and / or PHP. Lead by example by maintaining a high level of skill in Java Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and continuous professional development within the team. Collaborate with other departments to support automated legacy code transformation. Occasionally lead or support small in-house development projects (<10% of total workload). You should have :  Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering field (or equivalent experience). 8 years of hands-on Technical Lead or Technical Project Manager experience (or equivalent experience). Expert-level knowledge in Java Experience interviewing and hiring developers on an as needed basis. 3 years in leadership or management roles within a technical development environment, leading and mentoring development teams. Strong understanding of legacy code transformation and modernization projects. Experience managing resources effectively across multiple projects and teams, including offshore team management and roles like Test Lead or Release Manager; ability to work effectively across different time zones. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; strong customer communication skills; ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. Commitment to fostering a positive, growth-oriented team culture; strong interpersonal skills with motivation, initiative, and passion for service to users. Expert Excel skills for analytics and reporting. Proficiency in React, Angular, and RPG (Nice to have – not required). This is a full-time and permanent position.    We are always looking for highly motivated, energetic, creative individuals who work well in a fast-moving team environment and are committed to excellence. WHAT’S IT LIKE TO WORK AT FRESCHE?  Visit our Website and Apply Today :   FOLLOW US ON :  LinkedIn :    #LI-Remote DepartmentServices & TransformationEmployment TypePermanentMinimum ExperienceExperienced
