The Analyst role encompasses responsibility for all membership and class of trade (COT) activities. This involves extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various systems to address compliance issues. As an internal liaison between Finance and Contract Operations, the Analyst interfaces with the Chargebacks team and Contract Operations coordinators to identify, communicate, and resolve all issues related to membership.
This is a hybrid position requiring the selected candidate to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office three days a week.
Responsibilities
- Develops and coordinates assigned account membership and maintenance, including contract eligibility and COT reviews.
- Qualifies membership eligibility before chargebacks are processed, distinguishing by contract, committed program, and COT.
- Administers and maintains all class of trade membership and fee eligibility in Model N system.
- Timely and efficient confirmation and validation of contract eligibility within required timelines.
- Serves as an ombudsman for assigned accounts and their members, investigating complaints, problems, and achieving equitable settlements and resolutions.
- Facilitates internal functional groups, such as Order Services, Customer Operations, Chargebacks, IT, etc., as they relate to assigned accounts and their members, through written correspondence, contract updates and maintenance, chargeback discrepancies, membership, etc.
- Develops and communicates pertinent information regarding membership, as necessary, to the field sales force and internal management team.
- Performs audits related to sales and class of trade membership as they are brought forward both internally and externally.
- Perform individual contract access inclusion checks weekly and applies metrics to inclusion sets for analysis.
- Ensures data quality of all outgoing reports and analyses.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and develops or enhances tools to assist in work deliverables.
- Utilizes SAP, Model N, BEX, MicroStrategy, Qlik, VeevaVault, Spring CM, and other databases/tools to obtain, prepare, compile, and analyze information.
- Analyzes key KPIs to drive improvements in Commercial Membership Validation process.
- Provides support during the new molecule process by ensuring membership information is up to date.
- Participates in reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required (Advanced degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience (preferably with contracting, pricing, healthcare membership experience).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, hospital/pharmacy products, and/or medical device contractual terms and conditions is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated business acumen and experience with customer agreements (preferably experience with GPO, IDN, and hospital and/or clinic contracting) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills accompanied by critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and advanced skill set with Excel).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Qlik, Veeva, etc.) and other database concepts preferred.
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects with demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
