Purpose and Scope:
We are seeking a skilled Secretary/Receptionist to join our team at Fresenius Kidney Care. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will provide administrative support to maintain clinic operations and deliver exceptional customer care to patients living with kidney disease.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to:
- Patient Engagement and Front Desk: Answering telephone & routing calls to the appropriate person, professionally greeting all patients and guests, maintaining a professional environment, distributing incoming mail, obtaining necessary signatures, and ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Scheduling and Registration: Maintains accurate records, prepares medical records for facsimile or mail, organizes travel for patients, coordinates transient patient paperwork, confirms admissions paperwork, assists with medical appointment referrals and scheduling, and assists with transportation coordination and referrals.
- Administrative and Additional Responsibilities: Ensures data entry has been completed, completes forms and reports, prepares purchase orders, assists with department/facility accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, maintains inventory of office supplies, assists in auditing records, collects Patient Demographic Information and Continuous Quality Improvement Data, assembles and files patient medical records, prints patient schedule and pulls patient charts daily, arranges for package pickup and delivery, and participates in collaboration sessions and staff meetings.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The position may require travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Supervision:
No direct supervision. Must be able to float to other facilities for low need. Must be able to drive to other clinics for work-related tasks and other duties assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience and Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 months relevant experience without a degree.
- 1-2 years related experience preferred.
- Experience working knowledge of computers with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Good verbal communication skills. Pleasant telephone manner.

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate's work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.
