Main Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff.
- Participate in department staffing and hiring processes.
- Evaluate and recommend disciplinary actions for staff members.
- Maintain knowledge of current practices related to dialysis by participating in scheduled in-services.
- Train and orient new staff as needed.
- Routinely observe and guide direct patient care staff on appropriate techniques and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients.
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
