About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating hemodialysis machines with precision and accuracy
- Assisting in maintaining a safe and clean working environment that meets or exceeds regulatory standards
- Supporting the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their well-being since their last treatment
- Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform vascular access cannulation as delegated or allowed by state law
- Obtain necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight, and perform vascular access evaluation prior to treatment
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders, including blood flow (QB) and dialysate flow (QD)
- Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or directed
