Purpose and Scope
The Nursing Manager works closely with the Facility Manager, facility staff, and physicians to coordinate daily operations and patient procedures. The primary goal is to provide high-quality patient care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports and drives quality standards by adhering to regulatory requirements and continuous quality improvement practices.
- Ensures outstanding patient care by working with the Vice President of Quality and other management teams to maintain adherence to organization policies and procedures.
- Addresses and acts on adverse events and action thresholds aggressively.
Leadership and Supervision
The Nursing Manager supervises direct patient care staff, including Staff RNs, LPNs, Radiology Technologists, Surgical Technicians, and Front Desk Coordinators. They are responsible for assigning tasks, delegating duties, and ensuring adequate staffing through schedule management.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.). Current state licensure and ACLS certification are also required. ASC certification is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center / Vascular Access Lab or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU / CCU experience is necessary. Supervisory or management experience within a medical or vascular access environment is also beneficial.
