What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Charge Nurse position at Fresenius Medical Care?
Purpose and Scope:
Supports the company's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy by ensuring quality patient care while maintaining cost-effective clinical operations in accordance with all legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff, providing ongoing feedback and formal evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, policies, and regulations set forth by state and federal agencies.
- Approve or disapprove time or personnel schedule changes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Participate in patient care plan meetings and maintain knowledge of current practices related to dialysis principles and techniques.
- Routinely observe and guide direct patient care staff for appropriate technique and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
- Promote a safe and clean working environment and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with direct patient care team in making decisions to benefit patient care and continuously monitor patients' conditions for potential complications associated with dialysis.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State.
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients.
