The Clinical Pain Management Expert is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services to patients across all acuity levels. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing and anesthesia principles, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Administer medications for sedation, anesthesia, and pain management, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless transition of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Stay current with best practices in anesthesia and pain management, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8-12 years' experience in anesthesia or a related field
- 5 years' experience as a CRNA preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques
