Principal Responsibilities and Duties

Clinic Operations :

  • Oversee clinic operations, including cost management, process implementation, staffing oversight, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for team members.
  • Collaborate with internal Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services departments.
  • Manage the facility's Home Therapies Program in partnership with other team members.
  • Ensure the integrity of medical and operational records and comply with data collection and auditing processes.
  • Accountable for the completion of Annual Standing Order Reviews and Internal Classification of Disease (ICD) coding.
  • Manage clinic financials, focusing on efficient supply utilization and regular profit and loss assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with network reporting and state or federal surveys.

Patient Care :

  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge with appropriate team members.
  • Educate patients on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, and access care.
  • Serve as a resource for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Ensure timely completion of patient assessments and care plans.
  • Optimize patient scheduling to promote facility efficiency and manage initiatives for missed treatments.
  • Confirm patient eligibility for treatment and develop necessary action plans.
  • Report any changes in patient status related to clinical, insurance, or transportation matters.
  • Staff Management :

  • Assist in recruiting new team members and ensure proper orientation and necessary training is completed.
  • Ensure that all patient care staff maintain current training and licensing certifications.
  • Support clinical staff regularly, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Keep informed about company benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and set annual performance goals.
  • Document disciplinary actions as necessary, collaborating with the clinic Director of Operations and Human Resources.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and payroll processes.
  • Physician Relations :

  • Facilitate the process for physician privileges and ensure compliance with company by-laws.
  • Maintain strong relationships with physicians, ensuring regular and effective communication.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary regional Governing Body, which includes MSWs, Dietitians, MDs, DOs, and others, guiding policy governance.
  • Education and Required Credentials :

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
  • Current and appropriate state licensure.
  • Experience and Skills :

  • Required :
  • 6 years of operations experience in a healthcare facility.

  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
  • Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
  • Preferred but not required :
  • 3 years of supervisory or project / program management experience.

  • Med / surg or ICU / CCU experience.
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

  • Work involves desk and computer tasks, as well as interaction with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Some travel between assigned facilities and various community locations may be required.
  • The work environment is typical of a healthcare facility, with moderate noise levels and controlled air temperature.
  • Exposure to infectious and contagious diseases / materials may occur.

  • This role involves direct patient care, including heavy lifting and patient mobility assistance, with support from equipment or coworkers.
