Job Summary:
The Dialysis Clinical Team Lead is responsible for managing clinic operations, including costs, processes, staffing, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, coaching, and development skills to effectively manage direct reports.
Clinic Operations:
- Maintains medical and operations records.
- Completes Annual Standing Order Review and ICD coding.
- Manages clinic financials, supplies, and equipment.
- Responsible for network reporting and on-site surveys.
Patient Care:
- Coordinates patient care with staff members.
- Ensures patient education regarding quality measures, transplant options, and modality awareness.
- Acts as a resource for patient concerns and questions.
- Manages timely patient schedules and develops action plans for missed treatments.
- Plans and validates patient eligibility for treatment.
- Reports changes in patient status.
Staff:
- Participates in new hire selection and hiring.
- Ensures completion of training courses and licensure/certification requirements.
- Provides support and encourages professional growth for clinical staff.
- Maintains current knowledge of company benefits and policies.
- Completes employee evaluations and establishes annual goals.
- Documents disciplinary actions.
- Manages staff scheduling and payroll.
Education and Required Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
- Current appropriate state licensure.
Experience and Skills:
- Required:
- 6 years business operations experience in a healthcare facility.
- 12 months experience in clinical nursing.
- 6 months chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
- Color blindness test pass.
- Preferred but not required:
- 3 years supervisory or project/management experience.
- Med/surg or ICU/CCU experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Day-to-day work includes desk and computer work and interaction with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Position may require travel between facilities and various locations.
- The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with temperature control and moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.
