About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Director of Training to join our Retail Training department. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering innovative training programs to Store Managers and Assistant Managers to enhance their skills and ensure an exceptional customer service experience. As a Director of Training, you will be instrumental in promoting continuous improvement by designing impactful training content, overseeing career growth initiatives, auditing adherence to standards, and analyzing store performance data. This full-time, salaried position is ideal for someone passionate about developing talent, fostering leadership, and elevating operational excellence in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What You'll Do
- Organize and facilitate training and coaching sessions for Store Managers and Assistant Managers.
- Design and update training content to ensure it is current, relevant, and impactful.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Focus on enhancing customer service and experience through training sessions, role-playing exercises, and competitions.
- Collaborate with General Managers to emphasize customer service and experience as a primary focus in in-store training.
- Conduct regular audits of customer experience, product quality, and food safety to ensure adherence to standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with store teams to implement corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze store performance data, including metrics related to customer experience, product quality, food safety, training effectiveness, and financial performance (revenue, prime cost, and third-party performance).
- Prepare and present performance reports to the District Manager and Store Managers.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee and manage the process and participant progress of Fresh Baguette’s career growth path strategy – Certification Cards and Level distinctions.
- Ensure compliance and successful completion of level requirements for participants in the career growth path strategy.
- Bring creative ideas and strategies to develop and refine the training department as the company grows.

Location : 20% Offices based in Rockville and Germantown, MD, but 80% will be traveling between retail locations throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
