What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acounting Team Leader position at Fresh Del Monte?
Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for overseeing several functions/Processes on the NA Accounting department for assigned locations within the region. In this role, the position will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to, and implementation of financial policies and procedures and support as business partner the overall results of the region.
Accountabilities:
- Complete month end closings for the region and submit financial reporting to department Director.
- Perform and monitor financial controls, account reconciliations etc. to ensure a sound control environment
- Perform financial analysis regarding business performance.
- Be the accounting expert for the process assign and provide guidance to the business.
- Work closely with the NA Accounting management structure to help achieve regional financial goals including assisting with special higher-level projects as needed.
- Supervise the work assign by business process.
- Continuously monitor adherence to financial policies and procedures within assigned regions.
- Complete special projects as required.
- Ad Hoc reporting and analytical support
Minimum Skills Required:
- 4-year College Degree (Accounting, Business or similar)) from an accredited institution.
- 6 years of experience in accounting or finance positions and at least 4 years of prior experience as Sr. Analyst or Sr Accountant or similar role.
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of accounting updates.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and confidential environment.
- Excellent analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant License.
- Cost accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP financials and related modules.
- Experience with Multinational Corporations.
