What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Fresh Del Monte?
Purpose of Position:
To process journal entries for month end closings to accurately account for monthly financial results and comply with Company deadlines, as well as assist with financial audits.
Accountabilities:
- Assist with processing journal entries for the closing of every month to meet reporting deadlines set by Company.
- Assist with month and quarterly account reconciliations, analyses and resolution of items in need of investigation or reclassifications.
- Assist with Fixed Assets system maintenance and reconciliations to properly account for fixed assets, CIP, depreciation, additions, sales, and retirements.
- Assist with SOX compliance reviews and provide support to internal and external auditors to comply with SOX compliance.
- Special projects.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years prior Accounting and/or Finance experience working in a fast-paced, results oriented environment (full accounting cycle).
- Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written skills. (Fully fluent in English)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
