The HR Clerk is responsible for processing day to day HR tasks. Supports HR Team with miscellaneous functions and provides HR services to employees. This position is the first point of contact for employee issues within the assigned functional areas. The functional responsibilities include - but are not limited to - payroll, time/attendance, file management and various clerical duties as assigned.
Position Functions
- Initial point of contact between employees and Human Resources
- Administration and tracking of employee attendance point system
- Coordination and maintenance of HR and government regulated programs, including but not limited to, federal/state labor postings, DOL 7-day permit, employment verifications, wage and hour law compliance and check requests
- Enter required data into Workday (HRIS) system
- Support the HR Rep., Recruiter, HR Generalist and HRBP with various HR assignments
- Clerical duties: maintain department filing system, log HR requests, create and translate memos and postings, sort and distribute mail and faxes, maintain HR expense budget and order office supplies
- Create employee badges
- Assist with New Hire Orientation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Skills & Qualifications Desired
- Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong prefer bilingual English/Spanish or Creole
Position Experience Qualifications
- Workday experience preferred
- Experience within a Human Resources environment preferred
- Minimum of one-year clerical experience
