What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Lead position at Fresh Express?
The Sanitation Lead will assist the sanitation supervisor in directing and coordinating the daily activities of the sanitation crew. The Sanitation Lead will oversee the operational task of cleaning and sanitizing of facility's processing equipment. The Sanitation Lead will ensure compliance to Fresh Express Food Safety and Sanitation Standards. The Sanitation Lead must understand sanitation requirements relating to the 7 steps of effective sanitation.
This is a night shift position.
Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:
Help enforce Good Manufacturing Practices among employees.
Performs visual inspection on equipment in multiple locations in the facility
Communicate effectively and update the team with inspection information as necessary
Properly use chemicals and titrations.
Complete daily sanitation check-off list and daily titration record logs.
Instructing and leading other employees to clean efficiently.
Responsible for crew assignments.
Promotes objectives and initiatives of the company to the employees.
Support the QA department during the daily pre op inspections.
Responds to sanitary needs of production as at when needed.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
1 years' experience in Sanitation and Leading
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more), perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift, lift 35 pounds and able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift.
Must be able to work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit
Must have the flexibility to work 6 consecutive days, overtime, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
