Job Overview
The Warehouse Material Handler position supports production by setting up all production lines each morning and supplying products as requested throughout the day. Warehouse workers also make sure items are properly stored, rotated, and counted in the cooler. Places products on pallets correctly (securely and with proper dates) and loads trucks. Maintains cooler in an orderly fashion.
Job Duties
Occupational Safety
Must ensure:
- Personal protective equipment is worn at all times
- Working and common areas are safe; halls and docks are clean
- Machinery is operating correctly and vehicles used (electric & manual pallet jack; forklift) are used correctly and safely
Food Safety
Must ensure:
- Proper hand-washing and dipping is done when working in Production areas
- Sanitation attire is used correctly and stored
- Equipment is adequately cleaned and sanitized
Quality
Must ensure:
- Products are stored correctly and rotated correctly
- Orders are complete and loaded on the appropriate trucks
Productivity
Warehouse workers will:
- Load trucks
- Keep hallways, coolers, the dock, and overall production area clean
- Keep product organized and areas orderly
- Recharge vehicles each day
Communication
Warehouse workers must:
- Follow through on requests from Production members or other employees
- Cooperate and promote teamwork

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Forklift experience
- Pallet experience
- Must possess basic math skills and the ability to communicate with team members
- Be able to work in a wet environment with temperatures as low as 34 degrees
- Possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Have the ability to push/pull a manual pallet jack up to 1200 pounds
- Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Have the ability to crouch, stoop, and twist the upper body repetitively
- Work flexible hours and days including overtime depending on operational demands
- Be willing and able to work other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time in cold wet environment; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
