Coffee Shop Barista

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly barista to join our team! The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys engaging with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Baristas at Fresh Grounds are responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, handling food items, and ensuring a clean and inviting café space.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages

• Handle and serve pastries and other food items

• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing equipment and restocking supplies

• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions efficiently

• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment

• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure food and beverage safety

• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person

• Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and mornings

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
