Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to customers on a designated route while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
This Position starts at $16/hr
Shift start at 6:00am - 2:30pm
Duties
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations along a predetermined route.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Accurately handle cash transactions and maintain records of sales and deliveries.
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate prices, manage invoices, and ensure correct payment processing.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules, product availability, and any changes in service.
- Organize daily routes for efficiency, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional products or services during customer interactions.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and pricing accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
