Barista

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. In addition to your coffee duties, you would be trained in the kitchen to be able to cook the food options that we have available on our menu.

Fresh Start is a non-profit that seeks to offer meaningful employment to anybody who is seeking a fresh start. We work with a drug and alcohol recovery staff, closely with the prison system, and currently staff multiple spiritual counselors so that we are best equipped to help guide and train those who are looking for a fresh start.

We treat every member of Fresh Start as a part of the family, and in addition to our staff we also have a host of volunteers who take part in the mission as well.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow food safety procedures and adhere to health regulations
- Learn and utilize the the POS to quickly and accurately input a customers order.
- Keep track of inventory levels and restock supplies as needed

Experience
- Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and regulations

- In addition to any previous skills, we are looking for somebody who has chosen to life a life separate from the use of any substances.
