Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with property managers, vendors, and residents to address maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, HVAC problems, appliance repairs, and structural concerns.
- Property Upkeep: Perform general property maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and minor landscaping.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and on-call duties as required.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, addressing any potential hazards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Resident Relations: Communicate effectively with residents to address their maintenance concerns and provide excellent customer service.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.
- Experience in property management or multifamily housing maintenance.
- Familiarity with maintenance software or work order systems.
