We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Fresh Thyme Farmers Market team as a Grocery Clerk.
About the Role:
- Assist customers with purchases, information, and product selection
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Ensure accurate inventory levels and stock shelves
- Operate equipment such as scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
- Participate in pre-inventory preparation and maintain high levels of product knowledge
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Grocery department processes and procedures (preferred)
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Health Department guidelines and regulations
Work Environment:
- Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Walking and balancing for up to 6 hours
- Lifting, bending, and reaching as required
