At Fresh Water Systems, Field Service Technicians are a part of a nationwide service team that install, repair, and maintain small-scale commercial reverse osmosis filtration and water dispensing systems. The Service Technician role is a field-based position that is hands-on. We will put you through paid training before you go on the road. Once you pass your exams you will be given a company-branded van, think of mobile warehouse, to use during your time on the road. Lodging, fuel, vehicle maintenance, and food expenses covered while traveling. The successful candidate will be based in our Northeast service territory with service locations spanning throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and the New England states. Examples of water treatment technologies you could work on include reverse osmosis, deionization, and standard plumbing accessories.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
- Conduct maintenance and repair activities
- Perform analytical water testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, in addition to other site-specific testing requirements
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of equipment, replacement parts, tools, and accessories
- Carry out mechanical troubleshooting on equipment as needed
- Create and maintain site paperwork and documentation to provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
- Consult with the operation and technical support teams
- Maintain company equipment and vehicle according to the service schedule

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification
- Ability to travel ~50%
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Solid work history
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience in water treatment or related industry a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with several days of travel followed by several days off
- Able to pass a drug and background check per the company requirements
- Must be able to perform physical work that requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, turning, and lifting and moving inventory and products that weigh 50 lbs
- Able to manage time and priorities independently without supervision
