The Bronx Route Driver is responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our customers within the NYC Metro Area. The driver operates a refrigerated truck and also operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries. Fresh Direct drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time. They are expected to provide professional customer service.?
Responsibilities and Working Conditions :
- Providing efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our customers within the NYC Metro Area
- Operates a refrigerated truck
- Operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries.
- Our drivers deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time.
- Provide professional customer service
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In a workday : standing / walking 6-10 hours or more
- Hand use : single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Work requires the following motions : bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
- Constant exposure to temperatures :
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
- Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed.
Education and Qualifications :
Note : The hourly range for this role is from $18.00 to $19.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.?
