The Role

Facilities Tech L3 - HVAC TECH will have to effectively maintain plant equipment, primarily related to manufacturing equipment, while learning the balance of the FreshDirect Campus equipment, including refrigeration, HVAC, Conveyors, and all other equipment within the Distribution Center.

What You'll Do

• Placing the upmost importance on working safely and always maintaining a safe & orderly work environment for self and others:
• Effectively maintain plant equipment, primarily related to manufacturing equipment, while learning the balance of the FreshDirect Campus equipment, including refrigeration, HVAC, Conveyors, and all other equipment within the Distribution Center
• Execute the plant preventive maintenance program.
• To be fully proficient with all machinery to assist maintenance workers and/or train as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of all facets of electrical controls and procedures.
  
  

What You Bring

• Technical education related to mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration is required.
• Safely operates various shop related equipment.
• Lay out construct additional electrical circuits or deleted circuits. Update any changes to electrical schematics.
• Diagnosis electrical problems using various meters and related equipment.
• Mechanical experience with regards to varied kitchen and distribution center machinery.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits.
• OSHA safety requirements.
• Applicants who do not meet all these requirements cannot be considered for the job.
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• You must be able to work holidays.
• Must be able to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department)
• Must be comfortable in a warehouse/production environment.
• Ability to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast-paced work environment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

• The expected compensation for this role is $40.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
