Brief Description
Conveyor Belt Mechanic
The Conveyor Belt Mechanic is responsible for placing the upmost importance on working safely and always maintaining a safe & orderly work environment for self and others.
Responsibilities:
4-6 Years of experience as conveyor belt and/or system mechanic/technician required Technical education related to mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration is required Safely operates various shop related equipment Lay out and construct additional electrical circuits or deleted circuits. Update any changes to electrical schematics Diagnosis electrical problems using various meters and related equipment Mechanical experience with varied kitchen and distribution center machinery Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints Working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits OSHA safety certification is a PLUS Must be able to lift 50 pounds In a work day: standing/walking 8-12 hours Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators) Ability to work in a wet and cold environment Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Schedule:
Monday to Sunday, with 24 hour coverage .
Note: The hourly wage is $40 an hour . Specific compensation for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.

Conveyor Belt Mechanic
The Conveyor Belt Mechanic is responsible for placing the upmost importance on working safely and always maintaining a safe & orderly work environment for self and others.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively maintain plant equipment, primarily related to manufacturing conveyor belt/system
- Learning to balance other distribution center equipment at the FreshDirect Campus
- Execute the plant preventive maintenance program
- Proficient with conveyor system machinery to support the maintenance team and/or train others as needed
- Strong working knowledge of all facets of electrical controls and procedures
Monday to Sunday, with 24 hour coverage .
