What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Staging- Ground Operations Assistant position at FreshDirect?
Brief Description
The Ground Ops Assistant is responsible for receiving, storage, inventory, and replenishment of products while ensuring our good manufacturing practices are being followed. Other responsibilities may include flexibility to work in other departments picking and packing and/or loading trucks.
Responsibilities:
Processing all goods deliveries quickly and accurately, using our warehouse management system via RF Guns and computers to complete all required transactions. Manually moving products between reserves locations and pick bins. Stocking pick bins and reserves with product based off work assignments via our warehouse management system. Working to or exceeding standard rates for activities set forth by management team. Ability to use manual pallet jacks, u boats, dollies, and other manual material handling equipment. Organizing and rotating products based off of FIFO while keeping work areas cleaned and organized. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. In a work day: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators) Ability to work in a wet and cold environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Must be able to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department)
- Machinery Experience a preferred (i.e., Forklift; Cherry Picker; Rider Jack; Swing reach; etc.)
- Experience using warehouse management systems and Handheld devices.
- Must be comfortable with basic math skills.
- Must be able to read and comprehend in English.
- Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture.
