Cash Application Specialist

Essential Functions:

• Open, batch and post street mail payments
• Process weekly customer ACH debit payments
• Retrieve remittances for EFT paying customers
• Clarify remittances on customer accounts via phone
• Work with the collections team and other departments on payment discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash.
• Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to secure outstanding balances.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions regarding billing and payments.
• Process and apply payments to accounts while maintaining accurate records.
• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable aging reports and provide updates on collection efforts.
• Maintain and update customer contact information in company databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• A minimum of a Highschool diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years of successful experience performing the above duties
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and common E Mail systems.
• Valid identification or driver’s license (if appropriate).

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00am – 5:00pm

 Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
• Perform occasional physical tasks such as moving files and boxes
• Occasionally lift and carry boxes or office supplies weighing up to 50lbs as needed
